Allianz - Customer Case Study

Allianz UK, one of the country’s largest general insurers with around 4,000 employees, depended on a mainframe-based policy administration system accessed via terminal emulators. When the company migrated desktops from Windows XP to Windows 7, it needed to standardize and upgrade a mixed Rumba estate without disrupting existing macros, workflows or user productivity.

Allianz upgraded to Micro Focus Rumba 9 via a packaged Windows distribution, preserving all existing work and macros so users required no retraining and the rollout was seamless. The upgrade standardized the emulator estate for roughly 4,000 users, delivered productivity features (macros, keystroke recording, bookmarks and reminders), ensured reliable mainframe access and produced a positive ROI.
