Case Study: Akbank achieves up to 15,000 weekly human-hour savings and automated compliance with OpenText (Micro Focus Data Center Automation)

Akbank orchestrates harmonious data center operations in IT Symphony project.

Akbank, one of Turkey’s largest and most established banks, needed to streamline IT operations, eliminate manual errors and reduce compliance risk while boosting operational efficiency. To meet these goals it launched Project Symphony with Micro Focus to automate and standardize critical IT processes across a complex, heterogeneous environment.

Using Micro Focus Data Center Automation, Server Automation and Operations Orchestration, a six‑person central automation team mapped, standardized and automated provisioning, patching, compliance controls and other workflows. Completed in eight months, the project enabled continuous compliance reporting, cut manual errors and saved about 5,000 human-hours per week in 2019—rising to 15,000 per week during COVID-19—while materially lowering operational risk.
