Air Products uses Livelink ECM – Document Management for SAP® Solutions to record their successful legacy

Air Products, a Fortune 500 supplier of industrial and specialty gases with operations in more than 40 countries, faced growing IT and compliance challenges after deploying SAP in 2003. A large number of legacy applications contained data that needed long-term, tamper-proof archiving for legal, tax and policy reasons, while the company also sought to reduce IT and storage costs and simplify support as part of an Application Retirement Program.

Air Products implemented Livelink ECM – Document Management for SAP Solutions (sold by SAP as “SAP Document Access by Open Text”) to create a centralized, secure archive that leverages SAP NetWeaver and DocuLink for consistent access and metadata-driven views. The solution enabled retirement of over 200 legacy applications, improved SAP performance, lowered storage and compliance risk, reduced IT support complexity, and boosted productivity and staff morale.
