Adopting UFT One to drive companywide test automation and accelerate development of competitive insurance products

ORIX Life Insurance Corporation needed to improve test efficiency and application quality while reducing the heavy manual effort involved in functional, regression, and API testing. The company turned to OpenText Functional Testing to standardize and automate testing across its development and operations teams, supporting insurance premium calculations and system validation.

OpenText implemented OpenText Functional Testing as a company-wide test automation standard, supported by workshops and user manuals from the Testing CoE. The solution automated tens of thousands of data-driven test patterns, cut some regression test cycles from about one hour to 10 minutes or less, and helped ORIX automate at least 70% of its main application functional tests by August 2022. The result was higher developer productivity, fewer human errors and rework, faster development, and improved application quality.
