Achmea, one of the Netherlands’ largest insurers handling more than 1.2 million life and pensions policies across nine business units and 22,000 employees, faced a fragmented, paper‑based records environment with limited file access and slow, error‑prone processing. The company needed a centrally controlled, digital filing and workflow solution to streamline operations, improve accuracy and speed, and support regulatory quality controls.
Achmea implemented OpenText Execute360 (DIS/WFM), digitizing the mailroom, indexing incoming documents into a central work queue, using electronic checklists and persona‑based user views, and fully digitizing 1,200 workstations. The result: faster, more accurate processing and customer service, over 20% productivity gains, millions of euros in estimated savings (including about €500,000/year in reduced floor‑space costs), fewer errors and stronger management reporting and compliance.
