Ewals Cargo Care, a long-established European logistics provider with a network of offices, transport companies and warehouses across Europe, faced limited visibility into operations as it reoriented its strategy to “Move, Store, Manage.” The company needed to centralize information, standardize information flows, enable partner interaction and protect legacy investments while building flexible, process-oriented functionality.

Ewals implemented an OpenText Cordys–based Europe-wide portal with an Enterprise Service Bus and SOA to integrate legacy systems (including its iCare and Quintiq systems). The solution delivered transparent, location-wide information, streamlined processes, client-specific views and integrated data across applications—improving efficiency, responsiveness and the ability to rapidly introduce new, customer- and country-specific processes.
