A OpenText Case Study
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) had widely adopted Micro Focus® Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) across its development teams, supporting thousands of projects and varied agile, waterfall and hybrid workflows. To drive efficiency, simplify the IT ecosystem, and improve collaboration and security, HPE set out to consolidate a sprawling ALM landscape—reducing more than 200 disparate ALM projects into a single, centrally managed environment.
HPE centralized ALM as an IT‑managed service, upgraded infrastructure for performance, and created standardized ALM templates and three organized ALM farms to simplify administration and enable team collaboration. The consolidation cut complexity (from 200+ projects to seven), improved visibility and security, and scaled to support major initiatives—peaking at 5,000 daily users during HPE’s 2015 separation while managing thousands of applications, hundreds of thousands of tests, and thousands of testers.
