End-to-end payment testing driven by OpenText™ Functional Testing

Pick n Pay, a South African retailer, needed to automate end-to-end point-of-sale testing across multiple payment methods and in-store devices, including Zebra Android scanners used for online order fulfillment. To do this reliably without disrupting real transactions, the company used OpenText Functional Testing and related OpenText tools to cover cash, card, loyalty, QR-code, and other payment flows.

OpenText implemented a solution combining robotic arm automation, OpenText Functional Testing Lab for Mobile and Web, and OpenText Service Virtualization to simulate real-world transactions and third-party services. The result was nearly 100% automation coverage, a small testing team running 50,000 automated scripts, and regression cycles reduced from weeks to days, delivering a faster, scalable, and more accurate testing environment.
