Athletico Physical Therapy, founded in Chicago in 1991, operates more than 40 specialty services across Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Iowa with over 1,500 clinical and administrative staff and serves Chicago’s professional sports teams. The organization needed a secure way to send personal health information to referring physicians and patients—email had been unsupported, forcing reliance on fax, phone or in-person communication.
