A OpenText Analytics Case Study
South Gloucestershire Council, a fast-growing local authority serving about 246,000 residents, needed to strengthen its performance management to meet rising expectations and drive service improvement. The council sought a way to help individuals and departments take ownership of performance, better link operational activity to strategic priorities, and quickly identify the measures that most impact overall performance.
After a competitive evaluation the council implemented Actuate Performancesoft Views across the organisation to visualise strategy-to-performance links, drill down into key measures, and benchmark results. The solution delivered widespread uptake, supported LAA tracking and interactive Cabinet reporting, reduced time spent on report generation, and provided a single, up‑to‑date view of performance — improving communication, governance and the council’s ability to manage and improve services.
