Presbyterian Healthcare Services - Customer Case Study

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is a not‑for‑profit health system in New Mexico with more than 9,000 employees, seven hospitals and 41 clinics serving over 650,000 residents. While pursuing the Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award, leadership found their performance program bogged down by too many, duplicated and poorly defined measures, inconsistent updates across departments, and limited accountability—hindering decision‑making and performance improvement.

PHS implemented ActuateOne for Performance Analytics, led by the CIO, and rebuilt its measurement system—eliminating unnecessary metrics, standardizing measures, and creating customized Performance Views and interactive BIRT reports. The platform now tracks about 1,200 measures across 200 locations, enables dynamic drill‑downs and commentary, supports regulatory reporting, and has become the foundation for an integrated performance improvement system that boosts accountability, aligns the organization and accelerates identification and remediation of under‑performing areas.
