A OpenText Analytics Case Study
Odom’s Tennessee Pride Sausages, a family‑owned breakfast sausage maker founded in 1943 with more than 500 employees, faced fragmented data in spreadsheets and an inflexible reporting tool during an ERP upgrade. The lack of integrated reporting left manufacturing, logistics, sales and distribution without visibility into production and inventory, leading to stock shortages, overproduction and waste of perishable product.
Tennessee Pride standardized on Actuate’s web‑based reporting and e.Spreadsheet tools, building 400+ reports for about 150 users and automating roughly 200 weekly reports within a four‑month rollout. The solution enabled just‑in‑time production, raised inventory turnover to as much as 48 times per year for some items (saving over $1M annually), improved order fulfillment and sales effectiveness, cut reporting errors and IT support calls, and achieved 100% user adoption.
