A OpenText Analytics Case Study
West Hull Primary Care Trust (PCT) is a public healthcare organisation serving about 163,000 patients across 27 practices in west Hull, UK. Although the PCT already operated within established NHS performance frameworks, it needed to streamline reporting to Strategic Health Authorities, make performance data more actionable, and reinforce culture, accountability and alignment between strategy and operational objectives.
To address this, West Hull implemented Actuate Performancesoft Views to integrate scorecards and customised performance views for services such as modernisation, public health and primary care. With roughly 30 primary users, managers can now quickly scan key drivers—hospital waiting times, GP access, HR and finance—produce board and executive reports, and focus resources where improvements are needed. The solution accelerated decision-making and better aligned reporting with the PCT’s performance management strategy, with plans to extend use of Strategy Maps for business-plan monitoring.
