Lincoln Financial Distributors Implements Mobile, Real-Time Business Intelligence

Lincoln Financial Distributors (LFD), the wholesaling arm of Lincoln Financial Group, consolidated four distribution units into a single sales force and needed a consistent, company-wide reporting capability. IT was tasked with unifying disparate data sources, driving behavioral and cultural change, and building a consolidated data warehouse and sales reporting unit to provide a single “one-stop shop” for sales information and decision-makers.

LFD implemented the Actuate Enterprise Reporting platform on Windows Server and SQL Server, using XML and page-level security to deliver tailored, “right-time” reports to 245 wholesalers on BlackBerries and handhelds as well as via the web and Excel. The solution provided CRM and sales-production visibility in the field, reduced development and deployment effort through a build-once deploy-anywhere approach, simplified user onboarding with an intuitive web interface, and improved sales decision-making and data consistency across the organization.

Lincoln Financial
