Concert Communications Services, a global provider of advanced communications, faced the challenge of integrating data from numerous legacy systems and delivering timely, personalised, highly interactive reports to thousands of internal users, distributors and customers. As a joint venture with complex reporting needs, Concert needed a scalable web-based solution that unified diverse data sources, supported granular operational reporting (traffic, service management, billing) and made information easily accessible outside the corporate firewall.

Concert implemented the CRISP program — a data warehouse with multiple data marts and the Actuate e.Reporting platform — to mask source differences, present a single enterprise view and deliver HTML browser reports at scale. The solution now produces hundreds of daily reports, scaled from hundreds to thousands of simultaneous users, improved information accuracy and decision-making, led many distributors to adopt the system, and enabled electronic billing that reduced costs, sped cash flow and improved the customer experience.
