Actuate Gets Full Marks for Flexible Reporting at Roehampton University

Roehampton University, a London-based institution serving about 8,000 students across four autonomous colleges, needed to modernize information management and reporting. With multiple systems in place (CRM, student records, timetabling, finance) the university faced inconsistent, centrally‑controlled reporting and a reliance on IT for local report needs—creating a demand for a solution that combined central data control with flexible, ad hoc reporting for individual schools and staff.

Roehampton selected Actuate e.Report and e.Spreadsheet to consolidate data from key systems and deliver reports via a central server to some 300–400 lecturers and administrators, with plans to extend access to students through a SharePoint portal. The rollout delivered consistent, accurate cross‑system reporting, greater visibility of student records, faster local actions (for example, targeted communications for field trips), and better support for management decisions, with future plans to add finance integration and write-back capabilities.
