Insurance Australia Group (IAG) Data Team was looking to modernize its data environment and move from slow, traditional delivery cycles to a real-time data architecture. Using OpenStack, along with GitHub-based collaboration and automated deployment, the team aimed to build and release data products much faster for internal users and external customers.

OpenStack helped IAG deliver data products in days instead of months, support rapid proof-of-concept testing, and improve performance across workloads. The deployment spans three tenants and delivers four times the performance at one-fifth the cost of IAG’s VMware environment, while also enabling seamless upgrades, faster innovation, and new customer-facing capabilities.
