NEWS Sydney Superuser Award Nominee: Memset Hosting – OpenStack Public Cloud Team

Memset, an open-source-focused hosting provider, needed a highly secure and highly available public cloud platform that could meet strict UK Government requirements while serving a broader customer base. To achieve this, Memset adopted OpenStack, including OpenStack Swift, as the foundation for its cloud storage and infrastructure services.

OpenStack helped Memset build a self-service IaaS platform and its award-winning Memstore storage service, which now serves about 6.7 million requests per day. With OpenStack, Memset was able to roll out new features, performance improvements, and security updates faster, while maintaining strong uptime and enabling near-zero-downtime migrations during upgrades and patching.
