Valley Interior Systems saves 26–52 days a year with OpenSpace

Valley Interior Systems, a leading specialty construction contractor, faced challenges with inconsistent and inefficient punch list processes. Multiple stakeholders maintained separate lists, leading to confusion, rework, and reactive issue management. To proactively manage quality assurance and drive accountability, they sought a technology solution and implemented OpenSpace Capture.

Using OpenSpace, the team conducted weekly documentation walks to create timestamped Field Notes, compiled reports for general contractors, and strategically scheduled Job Walks. This new process built a powerful strategy for preventing rework. The results included significantly reduced rework, improved accountability with GCs, and substantial time savings. One project manager saved half a day of travel per week, repurposing up to 52 days annually. OpenSpace also provided a tool for remote coaching and building team leadership.
