Case Study: People’s United Bank achieves expanded employee-centric learning and higher engagement with OpenSesame

A OpenSesame Case Study

Preview of the People’s United Bank Case Study

Investing in Employee-Centric Learning At People’s United Bank

People’s United Bank, a regional bank with 5,000+ employees across 400 locations, needed a better way to deliver learning beyond limited, costly compliance courses. A legacy vendor agreement restricted them to just 25 courses, leaving little room for leadership, technical, and career-development training or for measuring learner demand.

The bank adopted OpenSesame Plus (access to thousands of courses) integrated with SAP SuccessFactors via the Open Content Network to build a user-friendly, customizable learning experience. They launched 26 learning series (270 courses), saw strong engagement (85% launched multiple courses, 46% of users took more than five courses, 63% completion rate), rapid usage growth (250% month‑over‑month then 320%), 390 licenses requested, and consistent positive learner feedback.
