CipherSpace, a provider of managed ICT infrastructure, needed to create a suite of enterprise-quality cloud solutions for its diverse clients that offered better security and customization than commodity cloud providers. To achieve this, they turned to the open-source cloud platform from OpenNebula Systems.

OpenNebula Systems provided the flexible and open platform CipherSpace required. The solution enabled CipherSpace to develop two key service models: a standard Virtual Data Center for shared resources and a customized Private virtual Data Center (PvDC) with reserved hosts for specific clients. This allowed CipherSpace to offer secure, transparent, and highly adaptable services. The results included the successful migration of a long-term client to a 12-VM micro-services architecture and the ability to add hosting capacity in minutes to meet peak demand, preserving positive customer relationships.
