RamNode slashes Netherlands cloud costs by 70% with OpenMetal.io

RamNode, a globally recognized public cloud provider, faced significant challenges with its outdated and expensive infrastructure in its Netherlands region. The aging hardware from its leasing partner limited performance, constrained customer density, and created unsustainable costs. To modernize without a full platform rebuild, RamNode chose to partner with OpenMetal and utilize its bare metal servers.

OpenMetal implemented a solution using eight of its modern bare metal servers to replace nearly forty legacy nodes. This allowed RamNode to run its existing public cloud platform without modification. The results were transformative: a 16x increase in VM density, a 70% reduction in monthly infrastructure costs, and significantly improved performance for customers, all achieved with zero changes to their automation or APIs.
