A OpenLegacy Case Study
Zoko Enterprises, an Israeli distributor for Caterpillar, faced a challenge connecting its new IoT time-tracking devices to its core IBM i legacy system. Their goal was to monitor technician repair efficiency, but they had no way to integrate the data from the IoT devices with their on-premises ERP without requiring intensive manual data entry or a lengthy development project.
Using its integration platform, OpenLegacy built and deployed APIs to connect the IoT devices directly to the IBM i system in just three weeks, avoiding the need to rewrite any legacy code. The solution provided rapid data analysis for managers to increase productivity and improve quality control. As a result of the successful project, Zoko has since approached OpenLegacy for assistance on another integration with its CRM system.
