Case Study: Hachaklait achieves reliable field veterinary operations with OpenLegacy

A OpenLegacy Case Study

Preview of the Hachaklait Case Study

OpenLegacy enabled Hachaklait to focus on field veterinary services rather than connection issues

Hachaklait, an agricultural cooperative providing veterinary services in Israel, faced a challenge connecting its field veterinarians to its core IBM i system. Their previous Windows CE devices relied on unreliable farm internet connections, leading to data errors and accounting discrepancies. They needed a stable mobile solution to empower their vets with accurate information.

OpenLegacy provided the solution by generating 200 APIs to connect new iPad Mini tablets directly to the legacy IBM i back-end. This allowed for offline data storage and synchronization when a connection was available, eliminating data errors. The result was a state-of-the-art user interface for veterinarians and financial accuracy for Hachaklait, with the system capable of handling 65,000 requests per server per hour across three servers.
