Global Tire Manufacturer, a global producer and exporter of off-highway tires, needed better access to product data while engineers worked on the factory floor. Their information was locked in an AS/400 system and scattered PDF files, forcing staff to switch between desktop screens and documents to find product images, dimensions, and other details. Using OpenLegacy, the company built a tablet app in just a few days that unified data from four AS/400 screens and PDF files into a single mobile-friendly view, with update capability back to AS/400. The result was faster access to product information on tablets and phones, plus a second mobile app for administrative tasks.
