Credicorp Bank, a Panamanian bank, faced the challenge of modernizing its traditional services and accelerating the deployment of new digital offerings. Its complex legacy architecture was causing slow product launches, and the bank sought to differentiate itself by creating a consolidated 360° view of its customers to improve their experience across all channels. To tackle this, Credicorp Bank partnered with OpenLegacy and its integration platform to build a new microservices-based API platform.

The solution from OpenLegacy involved automatically generating Java objects for REST APIs and microservices, which connected directly to the bank's core systems. This approach eliminated unnecessary integration layers, drastically reducing complexity and development time. As a result, Credicorp Bank successfully developed and deployed 70 APIs in just 10 weeks, achieving a 65% reduction in development time and a 300% improvement in API performance compared to its previous architecture.
