The customer, UNSW Business School's alumni and engagement team, faced the challenge of connecting with and engaging their global alumni community after their studies concluded. They sought to enrich lifelong learning and build a sustaining international network, with a specific need to equip alumni with enhanced leadership skills for a post-COVID world. They partnered with the vendor, OpenLearning, to develop an online short course to address this.
OpenLearning implemented a solution by creating the "Learn to Lead" short course, a flexible, 100% online program featuring webinars, lectures, and interactive sessions. The solution successfully engaged 4,200 alumni from 78 countries, who dedicated over 15,542 hours to professional development. The course received a near-perfect rating of 8.83/10, and 80% of attendees expressed eagerness to sign up for a future course, demonstrating a significant positive impact on alumni engagement for UNSW.
