Charles Sturt University, a leading Australian university, was facing challenges in the increasingly competitive student acquisition market. They needed a new digital channel to boost brand awareness, engage potential learners, and provide insight into career pathways and the university's learning experience. The university partnered with OpenLearning to address this challenge.

OpenLearning implemented a solution by creating a branded portal for the university to host free online taster courses. Utilizing OpenLearning's course authoring tools and with support from their Learning Services team, Charles Sturt University launched 28 courses. The results were significant, attracting over 15,000 enrolments, engaging an average of 1,700 active learners monthly, and reaching students in over 180 countries, which dramatically extended the university's global reach and brand awareness.
