Orange Egypt wanted to expand beyond mobile into a convergent fixed and mobile broadband offering, adding ADSL alongside its 3G/4G services. To improve the customer experience, the operator needed better broadband controls, real-time notifications, quota management, and a way to upsell services to its large mobile base. Openet provided the technology foundation for this shift, using Policy Manager, Data Fabric, and Real Time Offer Manager (RTOM).
Openet implemented centralized policy and offer management across fixed and mobile services, enabling Orange Egypt to control roaming, bundles, thresholds, ADSL speed, user redirection, and real-time promotions such as social packages and 4G rewards. The solution was also integrated with Orange Egypt’s app and customer care web portal for alerts and self-service. As a result, Orange Egypt gained centralized control over convergent services and a platform to drive innovative bundling, upsell, and increased revenue, though no specific numeric impact was disclosed.
