BT Mobile, part of BT in the United Kingdom, wanted to launch compelling mobile services as an MVNO on the EE network and quickly establish a converged quad-play offering. The challenge was to support a fast market entry while delivering high customer service quality, flexible charging, and the ability to react to changing market conditions.
Openet implemented its Evolved Charging Solution to manage real-time charging for voice, SMS, MMS, and data on a single platform, with features such as threshold notifications, service whitelisting, bill suppression, and bundle prioritization. Openet deployed the solution within extremely tight timelines, enabling BT to enter the mobile market quickly and gain a flexible, scalable charging platform to support future service enhancements and growth.
