Accelerating LTE Service Innovation and Enriching the Customer Experience

Orange France, a leading mobile operator in Western Europe and one of the largest in France, wanted to drive innovation across its mobile services while improving customer segmentation, enforcing service agreements, reducing data roaming bill shock, and creating new data monetization opportunities. To support these goals, Orange worked with Openet, using Policy Manager and Evolved Charging for its 4G LTE, 3G, and 2G services.

Openet implemented real-time policy and charging capabilities for premium data bundles, roaming controls, fair usage enforcement, tethering detection, VoLTE support, and multi-SIM handling, integrated with Cisco network equipment and downstream systems. As a result, Orange France accelerated LTE service innovation, improved customer satisfaction through more flexible and personalized offers, reduced revenue loss, and created new revenue streams, serving over 26 million subscribers with data revenues representing almost 35% of ARPU.
