The Centre for Languages, Linguistics & Area Studies (LLAS) at the University of Southampton, led by Academic Coordinator Laurence Georgin, needed a better way to manage a wide programme of workshops, seminars and conferences and to track past, present and prospective attendees without tedious manual copying and pasting. They chose OpenCRM to provide an affordable, tailored CRM and event-management solution that would meet their administrative needs.
OpenCRM integrated LLAS's website with its CRM so events (descriptions, images, venue details and downloads) can be published directly and attendee registrations via web forms are added automatically to the system. OpenCRM now stores attendance and payment data, enables targeted re‑invitations, and gives the team at-a-glance oversight—reducing paperwork and manual data entry, speeding up payment chasing, and freeing staff to focus on developing new courses.
