Sharaf DG is a leading Middle East retailer of consumer electronics and home appliances, known for strong customer service and a best‑price guarantee. To support omnichannel growth the company needed to unify separate mobile and desktop POS systems, speed time‑to‑market for new products, promotions and price changes, simplify POS rollout in new stores, and integrate smoothly with a central SAP back office.
Following a four‑store pilot, Openbravo’s web‑based, mobile‑enabled POS was deployed across 40+ UAE stores (500+ POS) and connected to SAP S/4HANA via the Openbravo‑SAP connector. The implementation delivered dramatically faster checkouts and reduced time‑to‑ticket, multi‑currency and modern payment support, omnichannel capabilities like online ordering and store pickup, simplified IT and lower maintenance, faster updates across tens of thousands of SKUs, offline resilience, and a six‑month SAP integration.
