Guidant Global, a global outsourced recruitment services provider with more than 250 employees across London and Atlanta, wanted to improve engagement and wellbeing at both a company-wide and individual level. They also found their annual appraisal process to be a time-consuming tick-box exercise that didn’t give employees enough opportunity to contribute or cover the wider issues affecting performance and development. OpenBlend was brought in to help make manager conversations more meaningful and personalised.

OpenBlend implemented its coaching-led one-to-ones platform across the whole business, replacing annual appraisals and rolling out in three phases starting with the leadership team. The results were strong: 100% of leaders said they understood their teams better, 89% of users felt more engaged, and performance goals improved by 18%. Guidant Global was also ranked 81st in The Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to Work For in 2017, and leaders reported better developmental conversations, easier management, and improved team performance.
