Merging multiple image libraries at CannonDesign

CannonDesign, a global integrated design firm with offices across the US, Canada and India, faced the challenge of merging multiple, differently structured image libraries after a series of rapid firm integrations. The key issues were preserving valuable metadata, reconciling keyword structures and providing centralized, browser-accessible imagery so teams in 20 offices could reliably find and use assets.

Working with OpenAsset, CannonDesign used guided migrations, keyword reconciliation, a standardized upload form for bulk imports, and hands-on Customer Success training to align systems and onboard staff. The result was faster, more reliable image search and access, storage savings and automated resizing, and significant time savings for a small marketing team—streamlining workflows and improving cross-office collaboration.
