Western Academy of Beijing (WAB), a leading non-profit IB World School in Beijing, needed a more efficient way to manage its complex admissions process for 1,400 students across a diverse international community. Using OpenApply, the school looked to streamline enquiries, applications, internal review, and follow-up while keeping the process clear for both families and staff.

OpenApply implemented a web-based, paperless admissions system with flexible task management and customizable status levels to organize the workflow. As a result, WAB has processed more than 500 enquiries and applications online since launch, improved internal coordination through task notifications, and gained better visibility into each applicant’s status.
