WA Department of Finance Building Management & Works (BMW) needed a more scalable way to manage contracts and projects after relying on three disparate systems that created poor visibility, limited functionality, heavy manual administration, and weak accountability. BMW turned to Open Windows for its CONTRACTS, PROJECTS and Supplier Portal solutions to modernise and centralise its contract and project management processes.

Open Windows implemented a centralised system with mandatory workflows, automated contractor payments and claims, financial integration, and improved reporting across capital works projects. The results included greater compliance and governance, reduced double data entry, stronger supplier relationships, and better decision making from real-time data; BMW also reported that automation of key processes largely replaced work previously done by five full-time staff across two teams.
