Sika - Customer Case Study

Sika, the global supplier to the construction and manufacturing industry with operations in more than 70 countries and thousands of employees, needed to modernize its wide area network to reduce complexity and risk while improving global integration and performance. To support 10,000+ users across 300+ sites and enable new technologies like unified communications, Sika selected Open Systems to lead the WAN upgrade and ongoing network/security management.

Open Systems implemented a Mission Control–based solution—acting as a single point of contact for WAN management, security (Mission Control Security Services) and global provider monitoring via operations centers in Zurich and Sydney—working with NTT Communications for backbone connectivity. The result is a simpler, more secure and scalable WAN with defined, guaranteed performance levels for bandwidth and availability, faster onboarding of new units, centralized provider management and measurable improvements in network integration and operational efficiency delivered by Open Systems.
