GEA Secures its Networks with Open Systems Managed SASE

GEA, a global supplier of process technology and services with 18,000 employees across 62 countries, needed to replace its MPLS network, consolidate disparate security vendors, and adopt a cloud-first, SD‑WAN‑enabled approach to gain better visibility and control. To meet those needs, GEA partnered with Open Systems and implemented Open Systems Managed SASE.

Open Systems delivered a managed SASE platform (SD‑WAN, firewall, SWG, CASB, ZTNA) via a unified portal and 24x7 services, adding decentralized proxies and Managed NDR for greater security visibility. The result: centralized connectivity and security, smoother global collaboration, better use of cloud apps like Microsoft Teams, and streamlined support. Measurable impact included a drastic drop in escalations—weekly incidents at a large site during the MPLS era have become almost none under Open Systems’ SD‑WAN—plus a unified ISP overview and faster site onboarding through user-based pricing.
