Holmesglen, the Melbourne-based institute, needed to transition its vibrant on‑campus community into a safe, engaging online space. To do this they selected Open Social’s online community platform to give past, current and prospective students—and alumni—a shared place to ask questions, form study groups and maintain campus connections.
Open Social helped Holmesglen launch a student‑driven beta community and rolled out features like topic groups, Events, student-created content and a community reporting/moderation tool (sponsored by Holmesglen) so members could help keep the space safe. The result: a platform that mirrors Holmesglen’s on‑campus culture and strong engagement metrics—3,900+ members, 330+ events organized, 670+ student groups and 147 topics created.
