Bringing digital transformation to the UNDP

SparkBlue, launched as part of the United Nations Development Programme’s digital transformation, needed a multi‑stakeholder platform to connect thousands of internal and external experts for dialogue, ideation and collaboration. Open Social delivered SparkBlue on its Open Social platform as a membership‑management and community engagement solution to meet UNDP’s requirement for seamless connection across communities.

Open Social implemented community engagement extensions (Crowd Innovation, Courses, Resource Library), dashboards and Communities of Practice, plus Microsoft Office 365/Yammer integrations and single sign‑on to create a centralized, collaborative experience. The Open Social solution achieved measurable impact: 46,000+ members, 500+ discussions started, 900+ topics created and roughly 150 posts per month, significantly improving cross‑UNDP collaboration and content synchronization.
