Canada Learning Code delivers 1 million+ learning experiences with Open LMS

Canada Learning Code, a national technology education charity, faced the challenge of a rigid and cost-prohibitive learning management system that lacked the customization needed for its unique, non-traditional educational programs. Their former LMS was designed for conventional education and limited how they could deliver content to their adult learners and partners. Seeking greater flexibility and hosting support, they turned to the vendor Open LMS for a solution using its Moodle™-based platform.

By implementing Open LMS, Canada Learning Code gained a highly configurable and user-friendly system. The open-source platform allowed for extensive customization of both the back-end functionality and the user experience. This enabled the introduction of a new ecommerce-driven subscription model for their professional development content using Open LMS's Stripe integration. The result was a more efficient operation where staff could self-serve using extensive documentation, make informed decisions based on better tracking of learner access, and focus resources on creating meaningful learning experiences.
