Twin Robotics - Customer Case Study

Twin Robotics, a startup in Grenoble, France, develops a robotics software platform built around Digital Twin and Industry 4.0 concepts. To launch the first stage of its AppRob project, it needed a technology partner to create the CAD and graphics kernel for an AI-focused robot programming and simulation platform, and it chose Open Cascade and its OCCT technology for the job.

Open Cascade built the initial architecture and environment using OCCT visualization, modeling, Boolean operations, data exchange, and other core capabilities, along with the DMU Reviewer as the basis for the application. The resulting platform supports CAD import/export, object creation and positioning, geometric and mesh measurements, model browsing, theme and ribbon customization, and 3D visualization, giving Twin Robotics a foundation for further development of robotic kinematics and multi-agent digital twin features. After a year of cooperation, the first phase of the project was complete and ready for Twin Robotics to extend into its full AI robot programming platform.
