IHME earns a Digital Health Bronze Award with Oomph

The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) faced the challenge of migrating its massive healthdata.org website from the soon-to-be-sunsetted Drupal 7. Simultaneously, IHME wanted to implement a new design and a flexible content architecture. They partnered with Oomph to successfully move to the latest version of Drupal, translate internal designs into an accessible component system, and enhance site security with a new Single Sign-On (SSO) integration.

Oomph worked closely with IHME to build a custom design system using Layout Paragraphs in Drupal, which provided a drag-and-drop page builder for the client's team. A key innovation was a custom teaser module to handle complex content display rules. The results were a powerful, award-winning site; healthdata.org received a Bronze Digital Health Award, cementing its role as an essential resource and equipping IHME to lead the public health conversation into the future.
