MECU, a suburban Chicago-based financial institution serving nearly 40,000 members, needed to replace an outdated tape-based backup and disaster recovery environment. The credit union wanted stronger data protection, hardened security, improved regulatory compliance, and reliable recovery for critical banking applications, while avoiding added strain on its IT staff. OnX Enterprise Solutions was brought in to deliver a turnkey backup and restore services solution.

OnX Enterprise Solutions implemented a virtualized, cloud-based backup/DR environment with de-duplication, compression, advanced encryption, and hardened data centers. Working with MECU and Alloya Corporate FCU, OnX designed, tested, and documented the solution, including a simulated disaster event to validate resilience. As a result, MECU gained 24x7 access to data and applications across the enterprise, reduced risk of downtime and data loss, and improved backup efficiency and security.
