Global Pharmaceutical Company, a U.S. division of a global pharmaceutical manufacturer, needed to relocate one of its data centers from North Carolina to a colocation facility near Chicago. The move involved significant risk, including assessing business impact, designing a new IT architecture, sourcing the right facility, and transporting sensitive hardware more than 800 miles. It partnered with OnX Enterprise Solutions for infrastructure solutions and relocation support.

OnX Enterprise Solutions led a six-step relocation process covering site selection, technology assessment, architecture design, colocation coordination, physical transport, and implementation. The vendor helped retain usable storage, replace obsolete networking gear, and build and test the new environment, while HPE Relocation Services handled transport. As a result, the data center was moved with minimal business disruption, IT costs were better controlled, network performance improved, and the company now has a scalable foundation for shifting more operations to the new site.
