Alberta Health Services needed to expand the Peter Lougheed Centre Hemodialysis Unit—doubling patient capacity and adding staff workspaces—on a tight one-year schedule that was later accelerated by four weeks due to COVID-19. To coordinate across Alberta Health Services, START Architecture Inc., and CANA Management Ltd., the team chose Onware’s collaborative contract-administration platform for real-time document control, review automation, and notifications.
Using Onware, the project team collaborated directly in the system with full document visibility, automated workflows, and real-time analytics; Onware enabled fast decision-making (average RFI response 2.08 days, average submittal review 3.20 days, with under 7% of submittals exceeding 10 days) and contributed to delivering the expansion one month early (completed March 2020).
