START Architecture Inc., as prime consultant for the seven‑and‑a‑half‑year, multi‑phased redevelopment of the Stollery’s Pediatric Critical Care, needed to organize and control a large, complex set of project documents across multiple phases and disciplines. Onware was selected as the document‑management platform to centralize and house all project documentation and streamline phase coordination.

Onware organized and stored the project documentation, giving START Architecture Inc. the flexibility to manage each phase/bid package under one project title rather than creating separate project titles, improving document control and efficiencies. Using Onware, the team supported delivery of Phase 1 (completed Dec 2017: 16 patient rooms and support spaces), Phase 2 (completed Mar 2019: 16‑patient PICU), and the start of Phase 3 (NICU redevelopment began July 2019, anticipated completion early 2021).
