Gothenburg City Museum - Customer Case Study

A Ontotext Case Study

Case study about Gothenburg City Museum working with Ontotext.

The Gothenburg City Museum provided close to 9K museum objects from two collections to build a use case within the MOLTO FP7 project. The goal is a knowledge representation infrastructure that allows for RDF querying and the presentation of RDF results in natural language. The knowledge representation infrastructure is based on Ontotext’s approach, known as “reason-able views of the web of data.” Museum data is modeled according to CIDOC CRM, integrated with the DBpedia and GeoNames datasets, and upper-level ontologies such as PROTON that facilitate the integration.
