Doña Ana County Officials Develop Strategy to Prepare for Economic & Population Growth

Doña Ana County, the second-most populated county in New Mexico, needed a new strategic plan and the tools to translate that plan into department-level actions and measurable progress. The county engaged OnStrategy and adopted OnStrategy’s strategy software to build department plans and establish monitoring capabilities.

OnStrategy implemented a county-wide system that aligned all 19 departments with the strategic plan and Guiding Principles, enabled tracking of department and individual goals via the OnStrategy software, and improved transparency and communication to the Board of County Commissioners, citizens, and stakeholders through the Dash. As a result, every department has a defined role in achieving the county’s vision and the county can now monitor progress and report outcomes more effectively.
